Value of Water Level Management


Across lowland areas water levels are carefully managed by ADA’s members to reduce the risk of flooding and damage to many towns, roads, railways and utility networks. Without this vital work communities could become vulnerable to disruption and isolation, and large swathes of low-lying fertile land would become unworkable. This management is equally important to sustain the environment and during dryer spells for the management of water resources for supply and irrigation.
