Body: Anglian (Central) Regional Flood and Coastal Committee (RFCC)
The Anglian (Central) Regional Flood and Coastal Committee is looking for four new members who will play a critical role in flood and coastal erosion risk management for the River Great Ouse catchment, including large parts of the Fens, part of the Wash and North West Norfolk coast. The potential candidates will support the Environment Agency and local authorities to create partnerships which fund and deliver projects for communities at risk, and will enhance the skills and knowledge base of the Committee.
They will have one specific vacancy for a coastal member from either July 2017 or January 2018, which is particularly relevant for this area given that this RFCC covers a varied and vulnerable coastline that extends from the west of King’s Lynn through to Hunstanton cliffs.
They are also recruiting three general members from July 2017 for the Committee and would in particular welcome applications from people with knowledge and experience of community resilience, agri-business, land drainage or strategic planning.
The closing date for applications is 13 April 2017.
