14/06/2010 - Anne McIntosh MP elected to chair Efra Select Committee
Anne McIntosh MP, a Vice-President of ADA has been elected to chair the Environment Food and Rural Affairs Select Committee. She takes over from Michael Jack who held the post as the Efra Select Committee chairman between 2003 and 2010. Anne will take up the post when the remaining committee members are nominated by the House of Commons in the coming weeks. Commenting on Anne's appointment, ADA Chief Executive Jean Venables, said: "We are delighted to congratulate Anne on her successful election. ADA looks forward to working with Anne and all the members of the Efra Select Committee in the future on issues relating to water level management, land drainage and flooding".
