ADA is governed in accordance with its Memorandum & Articles of Association.
ADA has a Board of Directors who oversee all of the association’s activities and future actions. The Board is made up of ADA’s Officeholders and Directors. Each of ADA’s ten Branches may appoint a Director to the Board, as may: the Environment Agency, the Regional Flood & Coastal Committees, and those Local Authorities that are members of ADA. The chairs of ADA’s two standing Committees are also Directors. In addition, non-voting members may be co-opted by the Board to take part in proceedings.
Minutes from these meetings, which take place three times per year, are available to download. Every three years ADA’s Board sets out a Business Plan for the forthcoming period.
