ADA Lincolnshire Branch had an impressive “Partnership Working” stand at this year’s Lincolnshire Show and were delighted to win the Gamekeeper’s Cup for the best stand in the Countryside Area, for the second year running. The stand had a good display of plant machinery used to maintain watercourses in the county as well as interactive models to demonstrate how pumping stations work, always popular with the many visiting school children at the show. The stand also included displays about the Boston Barrier and Lincolnshire’s chalk streams, and involved a host of volunteers from across Lincolnshire’s flood and water management community.

The Chair of the Events Committee, Peter Richardson (Vice Chairman, Witham Fourth District IDB), was delighted to receive the Gamekeeper’s Cup from Janet Godfrey (President, Lincolnshire Agricultural Society), on the second day of the show. Peter said: “It was great to see current and former colleagues at the stand as well as teachers and schoolchildren. We are keen to promote our tailored curriculum resources to schools so that Lincolnshire children grow up with a true appreciation of the importance of managing flood risk.”
