Agenda confirmed for 2016 ADA Local Authority Seminar at Flood & Coast Conference


The 2016 ADA Local Authority Seminar will be held on Wednesday 24 February as part of Flood & Coast 2016 at the Telford International Centre. This year’s Seminar will focus on local partnership working and collaboration. The Seminar will take place from 11.30 until 13.00.   • Overview: Working in partnership – Innes Thomson, Chief Executive, Association of Drainage Authorities
  • Update on Public Sector Co-operation Agreements – Ian Russell, Partnerships Manager, Environment Agency
  • Example of PSCA in operation with LLFAs – David Hickman, Strategic Partnerships Manager, Lincolnshire County Council
  • Example of transfer of operational responsibility driven by reduced government funding – Priscilla Mumby, Flood Drainage and Special Projects Officer, Medway Council
  • Future funding opportunities: Steve Wragg, Flood Risk Manager, City of York Council

ADA Local Authority Associate Members discount: Local Authorities who are Associate Members of ADA are eligible to claim a discount of £80 on their Flood & Coast 2016 Conference fees if they have one or more officers or councillors attend the ADA Local Authority seminar. Local Authorities who are Associate members of ADA will need to apply directly to ADA for the refund. This discount is limited to one payment of £80 per Local Authority. This discount offer does not apply to any other category of ADA membership or Local Authorities that are not members of ADA. Any Local Authorities who are not members of ADA but who attend the Seminar and wish to become Associate Members of ADA in 2016, £80 will be deducted from their membership fees for 2016 on application.
