Register now for our Environment Day 2023

ADA is excited to be holding an Environment Day for internal drainage boards on World Wetlands Day, Thursday 2 February 2023.

The event at Park Farm in Thorney, near Peterborough, will host a number of knowledgeable speakers talking on a range of topics relevant to IDBs’ management of the lowland freshwater environment. We plan to cover everything from eels to carbon accounting, invasive species to local nature recovery strategies. To check out the full line up of topics and speakers please download the draft agenda below.

The day will include a workshop session on the recently published ADA/Defra Environmental Good Governance Guide for IDBs (EGGG), providing training support to members on how to use this reference guide to help your board stay compliant across their statutory environmental duties, utilise best practice approaches, and enhance their local lowland environment as part of their work managing and maintaining safe water levels and flood risk infrastructure.

We look forward to welcoming IDB officers and board members alike to this free training event. Please register your place via the link below.
