ADA Environment Day 2026 sponsored by Breheny

ADA Environment Day 2026 sponsored by Breheny

We are excited to be hosting ADA’s fourth annual Environment Day on Wednesday 04 February 2026 at Park Farm, Thorney, near Peterborough. The event is kindly sponsored by one of our Associate Members, Breheny Civil Engineering.

This free in-person event aims to provide an insightful day of talks on a range of topics relevant to the management of the lowland watercourses and the freshwater environment. The day will cover everything from eels to invasive species, and beavers to landscape recovery.

We look forward to welcoming Sarah Fowler, Chief Executive at the Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust as our headline speaker.

In addition to Sarah’s address, we are pleased to host an excellent line up of presenters from STOWA, University of Cambridge, University of Hull, the Environment Agency, Water Management Alliance, and Wessex Water. They will share their insights and research on key topics including Fens 2100+, beavers in the Netherlands, retaining water safely, lowland channel management, eel passage at pumping stations and rainwater harvesting.

ADA warmly invites those who play a role in managing, maintaining, and governing safe water levels and flood risk infrastructure across our lowland water landscapes. The event aims to help you to better perform your statutory environmental duties, utilise best practice approaches, and enhance your local lowland aquatic environment as part of your essential work.

Book your place – Our previous Environment Day’s have reached full capacity, and we therefore encourage you to book early. We anticipate that the ADA Environment Day 2026 will attract strong interest from lowland water managers.

The event will start at 10.00 and finish at 15.30. A draft agenda for the day will be published shortly.
