Welland & Deepings IDB featured on BBC 2 “A Wild Year”

Back in early 2019, the Welland & Deepings Internal Drainage Board was approached by the BBC to assist in the filming of the BBC 2 series, “A Wild Year”.

The Board’s Pode Hole Pumping Station is featured in Episode 2, “The Fens”, along with a few members of their workforce being filmed carrying out their duties, proving that vital maintenance can be undertaken whilst showing a sensitivity to and awareness of the environment in this unique part of the British Isles.

Episode 2, “The Fens” is to be shown on BBC2, Friday 10th July at 21:00 and can be found on the BBC iPlayer.
