Flood & Coast 2026

Flood & Coast 2026

Flood & Coast attracts exhibitors, speakers, and visitors from around the world to advance flood and coastal erosion risk management (FCERM) good practice, and innovation in the face of the impacts of climate change.

The 2026 edition of Flood & Coast Conference, taking place from 09-11 June 2026 in the Liverpool Exhibition Centre, will offer a chance for the FCERM community to look at how they can turn policy ambition into practical, effective delivery across our rivers, catchments, and coasts. Accelerating resilience through system-wide and place-based approaches that reflect local needs and catchment priorities.

For ADA (who are once again Strategic Partners for the event) and its members, the conference offers a unique opportunity to share knowledge and experiences with other organisations promoting good practice. The themes of the 2026 conference align well with the important work of ADA’s member internal drainage boards, lead local flood authorities, and regional flood and coastal committees.

Key themes, sessions, and speakers

With the overarching theme of ‘Policy to practice: achieving resilience together’ each of Flood & Coast 2026’s conference sessions, spread across the three-days, will tie into one or more of the following key themes:

  • Flood and coast policy and the strategic landscape
  • Funding, assets and investment
  • Skills and the future workforce
  • Innovation in delivery
  • Water, nature and climate resilience
  • Community resilience and social value

So, who will be joining us in Liverpool? Our keynote speakers are: Chief Executive of the Environment Agency, Philip Duffy; United Utilities’ Chief Executive Officer, Louise Beardmore; The National Trust’s Director General, Hilary McGrady; and Steve Rotheram, Mayor of the Liverpool City Region. They are joined by an extensive line up of speakers from across the FCERM community who are already announced online.

Opportunities for local RMAs

Back by popular demand, this year’s conference will once again feature a dedicated area for local risk management authorities, where you will find both ADA and ASA. This will provide both LLFAs and IDBs with an excellent opportunity to showcase their work – with a complimentary exhibition pod providing a valuable platform to highlight projects, share expertise, and engage with key stakeholders.

Each successful application includes a free exhibition pod and two conference tickets. Book Now.
